FORM XPR Extension Plates provide an additional 8mm or 20mm of rearward adjustment for 3-hole road cleat systems. They also offer up to 3mm of additional medial or lateral adjustment.
Moving the studs back towards the midfoot can have many benefits:
It reduces the “leverage” effect of the foot, making the foot more stable on the pedals.
It can reduce or eliminate hot foot by moving the pressure point away from the pedal axle.
This will reduce stress on the ankle and calf muscles, which is very beneficial for endurance cycling.
Useful if your existing cleat holes are located too far forward on the shoe and do not allow you to position your cleats in the "modern standard" position
If you use Shimano SPDSL, Look KEO or any 3-bolt road pedals and want to experiment with a more rearward position, these plates are easy to install and only add 3.5mm of additional stack to your cleat height. The slightly flexible design allows for compatibility with all road shoes.KIT INCLUDES: Two Plates / M5 T-Nuts / Base Plate Screws / Shim Screws / Shim Washers
